Start free, decide later
Most Unreal mentoring teaches you what to do. I teach you how to think.
Instead of step-by-step recipes, I help you learn how to solve problems on your own. The goal is not to depend on me, but to make confident technical decisions without guessing.
We focus on:
- Breaking big problems into simple parts
- Thinking about structure before writing code
- Debugging methodically, not by trial and error
- Seeing when a system won’t scale early
- Choosing C++ or Blueprint for the right reasons
Many tutorials aim for quick wins. You get something working, but you don’t really understand it or know how to fix it later.
I explain the why behind each decision, based on real production experience.
By the end, you’re not just unblocked. You have a way of thinking you can reuse on future problems.
That’s how you stop following tutorials and start thinking like an Unreal engineer.
I’m Yoan Rock, a C++ Unreal programmer specialized in gameplay and UI. I have 5 years of industry experience and I’ve been mentoring for the past 2 years, something I’d like to focus on even more.
I’ve worked in different types of studios and projects. I care a lot about clean architecture and I’m always learning and improving my approach. I also recently started creating content on LinkedIn and YouTube to share what I’ve learned.
I also use AI agents like Junie and Claude Code from time to time to improve my productivity, and I’d be happy to share how I use them.

Yoan has been a great help during my job search in the games industry. He's given great, industry relevant advice that gained me immediate traction in my field. Thank you!
