This MentorCruise session is designed to help you improve how your work is presented, whether you are applying for jobs, pitching clients, or building credibility in your field. If your portfolio feels scattered, outdated, or not quite convincing enough, this session gives you practical feedback on how to strengthen it.

You’ll work with an experienced mentor to review your portfolio through the eyes of a hiring manager, client, or industry peer. Together, you can assess the quality of your project selection, case studies, storytelling, structure, and presentation, and identify what is missing or not landing. The goal is to leave with clearer direction on how to make your portfolio more focused, more compelling, and more effective at creating opportunities.

Your mentor

As an Unreal Engine programmer with experience as both an employee and a freelancer, I’ve learned what it really takes to get hired. I’ve gone through numerous interviews and have also participated in hiring processes from the studio side. This experience taught me how to build a strong portfolio, a crucial asset that is often poorly presented and doesn’t accurately reflect a developer’s real skills. As developers, we’re not always great at selling ourselves 🙂
