Resume Feedback with Gaurav

This is my second review of Gaurav. I am pleased to share some exciting updates. Firstly, I have successfully obtained my AWS Data Engineer Associate Certificate, and Gaurav was incredibly helpful in guiding me through this achievement. Additionally, I have recently landed a new job, and Gaurav's mentorship was instrumental in this process. He provided invaluable assistance in reviewing job offers and understanding new responsibilities. His clear guidelines on transitioning from my current position to the new one were both refreshing and practical. Gaurav's insights on what to focus on and what details to disregard made the decision-making process much more manageable. His comprehensive mentorship has been pivotal not only in securing my new job but also in planning for future career growth. Gaurav has laid out multiple pathways for career advancement, including opportunities to work with cutting-edge technologies such as generative AI within the data engineering domain. Furthermore, Gaurav assigned me projects on generative AI and its applications within the realm of data engineering and AWS. As a data engineer, these introductory steps were incredibly beneficial, and I am confident they will significantly enhance my new career.

Gaurav was very organized and gave me a structured learning plan/schedule based on my skill level when we started. He was great at breaking down/teaching complex Data Engineering concepts, and provides the appropriate outside material based on your learning style (e.g. videos, articles, textbooks). Additionally, Gaurav was an excellent communicator and always responded in a timely manner.

Gaurav worked hard at helping me learn the basics of data engineering, and to get comfortable working in the AWS cloud.

I had an excellent session with Gaurav. I appreciate that he genuinely took the time to really understand what my goals are and my current knowledge in data engineering. Based on this information, Gaurav came up with a custom tailored study plan, shared reading and video resources for executing the study plan, and provided a list of project ideas for building my portfolio. In just one day I've made a lot of progress, and I'm certain that my efforts are now better aligned with my goals thanks to Gaurav's help!

Gaurav is an excellent mentor! He has very strong skills, and I really liked his mentoring style. What I appreciate the most is his focus on goals and his ability to make the most out of every call. Gaurav guided me through the interview process and advised me on what to concentrate on during preparations. As a result, I was able to land a new job. Thanks a lot!
