Interview preparation is about showing up with clarity, confidence, and a strong sense of how to present your experience. This MentorCruise session is designed to help you prepare for upcoming interviews in a practical, personalized way, whether you are early in your career, making a transition, or aiming for a more competitive role.

You’ll work with an experienced mentor to sharpen your story, improve your answers, and get ready for the questions that matter most. Together, you can practice mock interviews, refine how you talk about your background, prepare for technical or behavioral rounds, and identify the areas that need the most work. The goal is to help you walk into the interview feeling more prepared, more polished, and more confident in your ability to stand out.

Your mentor

For the last couple of years, part of my job has been to conduct interviews for Software Engineer applicants. There are broadly two types of interviews we could practice:

- The technical interview: assesses your ability to problem solve, organize your thoughts into good code, discuss your solution, and take suggestions as appropriate under a bit of time pressure

- The behavioral interview: assesses your ability to be a good teammate, to be self-driven and accountable, to handle failure/mistakes, and to be aware of your strengths and weaknesses.

A session is a focused one-on-one call with your mentor. Use it to get feedback, work through a specific problem, review your work, or get unstuck. You reserve up to 1 hour of their time.

How do I pick a time?

After checkout you pick a slot from Patrick's live availability, and it's confirmed on the spot.

How does the session take place?

Sessions happen over video call. Your mentor shares the meeting link ahead of time, so all you need is a quiet spot and a stable connection.

Can I reschedule?

Yes, up to 24 hours before the session. Message your mentor and find a new time that works for both of you.

What if my mentor doesn't show up?

You're protected. If a mentor is a no-show, it takes one click to cancel and get your money back, no questions asked.

How do refunds work?

You pay securely by card at checkout. If the session can't go ahead, you can cancel and get your money back instantly from your dashboard.
