Introductory Call with

An introductory call is a simple way to get to know a mentor before committing to ongoing mentorship. This session gives you the chance to ask questions, talk through your goals, and see whether the mentor’s background, communication style, and approach feel like the right fit for you. It is a low-pressure starting point designed to help you make a more confident decision.

You can use the call to share what you are working on, what kind of support you are looking for, and where you feel stuck right now. It is also a chance to understand how the mentor typically works with mentees, what kind of guidance they can offer, and whether there is a strong mutual fit. The goal is to leave the conversation with more clarity on your next step and whether you want to continue working together.

About Provide an Introductory Call

Approximately 20 minutes, pays $30

The idea behind this session is that mentees can get an introduction to you, the platform, and mentorships, without having to sign up and go through the trouble of writing an application, waiting, paying, etc. This is a casual call, the only expectation is that you can provide more guidance to potential mentees.

Use this session to introduce yourself, show them how mentorships work on MentorCruise, how you did mentorships in the past, and what to look out for. It can also be good to walk through the signup and application process with them if they already have a mentor in mind.

Especially if someone is reluctant to sign up, but would potentially sign up with you, this is a great way to convert people into long-term mentees of yours, that's why we're trying to keep entry costs as low as possible.
