About this session
An introductory call is a simple way to get to know a mentor before committing to ongoing mentorship. This session gives you the chance to ask questions, talk through your goals, and see whether the mentor’s background, communication style, and approach feel like the right fit for you. It is a low-pressure starting point designed to help you make a more confident decision.
You can use the call to share what you are working on, what kind of support you are looking for, and where you feel stuck right now. It is also a chance to understand how the mentor typically works with mentees, what kind of guidance they can offer, and whether there is a strong mutual fit. The goal is to leave the conversation with more clarity on your next step and whether you want to continue working together.
Your mentor
Hi, I'm Marco!
🚀I am a Space Systems Engineer and Deep-Tech Entrepreneur passionate about helping the next generation of engineers, scientists, and founders navigate the complex, exciting worlds of aerospace and advanced technology.
Currently, I serve as the CEO & Co-Founder of Prometheus Plasma Systems, a deep-tech startup specialized in advanced plasma technology solutions. Prior to diving into entrepreneurship, I spent nearly 5 years at Thales Alenia Space as a Space Systems Engineer. During this time, I had the privilege of supporting mission-critical operations, design, and testing for major global space agencies, including ESA, NASA JPL, ASI, CSA, and KAI.
From coordinating complex system validation tests (SVT) to being in the control room during critical launch and early orbit phases (LEOP) for multi-million dollar satellite constellations, I’ve been in the trenches of modern space exploration.
🎯 How I Can Help You as a Mentor
Whether you are an aspiring aerospace student, an early-career systems engineer, or a technical founder looking to build a deep-tech venture, I can guide you through:
- Breaking into the Space Industry: How to position your academic background (even without decades of experience), ace your interviews at prime contractors (like Thales Alenia Space, Airbus, or OHB), and build a stellar network.
- Mastering Systems Engineering & Operations: Practical mentorship on complex satellite subsystems (AOCS, DHS, FDIR), flight operations preparation, telemetry analysis, and navigating ECSS standards.
- The Deep-Tech Transition (Scientist/Engineer to CEO): Transitioning from the lab to the market. I can help you understand how to talk to venture capitalists, build strategic R&D roadmaps, manage cross-functional scientific teams, and structure industrial partnerships.
- High-Performance Mindset: Beyond engineering, I am a competitive sailor (two-time Dart 18 World Champion) and classical clarinetist. I firmly believe that maintaining elite focus under pressure in your personal passions directly translates to managing high-stress scenarios in the control room or boardroom.
💬 My Mentorship Style
I believe in candid, actionable, and structured guidance. No fluff—just real-world strategies, templates, and frameworks that I’ve used myself to launch satellites into orbit and secure funding for deep-tech ventures.
"Let’s demystify the rocket science together and accelerate your career or startup.
