An introductory call is a simple way to get to know a mentor before committing to ongoing mentorship. This session gives you the chance to ask questions, talk through your goals, and see whether the mentor’s background, communication style, and approach feel like the right fit for you. It is a low-pressure starting point designed to help you make a more confident decision.

You can use the call to share what you are working on, what kind of support you are looking for, and where you feel stuck right now. It is also a chance to understand how the mentor typically works with mentees, what kind of guidance they can offer, and whether there is a strong mutual fit. The goal is to leave the conversation with more clarity on your next step and whether you want to continue working together.

Your mentor

I run AI adoption for a living, not as a side interest. As VP at kununu (Burda Group) I designed and rolled out our company-wide AI operating model — tooling for every function, not just engineering — plus a usage policy stress-tested against real employee personas, hands-on dojos, and an ROI case built on throughput at flat headcount rather than layoffs. I also build: Maestro, an open-source LLM router, and a local inference stack for sensitive workloads. Twenty years across founder, operator and executive roles, on four continents.

What that means for you: I've made the expensive mistakes already — the tools nobody adopted, the policy that didn't survive contact with real employees, the pilot with no measurable outcome. We'll skip those.

Sessions work best when you bring a real workflow, not a general question. I coach on: choosing where AI actually pays off, redesigning the workflow around it (the tool is the easy part), rolling it out to a team, measuring it honestly, and doing all of it inside EU regulatory constraints if that's your context.

I'm based in Porto (WET) and usually run sessions Tuesday to Thursday, afternoons — which covers European working hours and US East Coast mornings. English or Portuguese; Spanish if you prefer.
