Alert fatigue is killing your on-call: pages fire on causes nobody acts on while real user pain slips through quietly. In this session we review your observability stack end to end and turn the noise into signal. It's the hands-on version of my conference talk "The Observability Evolution: from Rookie to Mega."

What we'll cover:

- Walkthrough of your current setup — Prometheus/Grafana, OpenTelemetry, logging, dashboards, alert rules
- Alert audit: which rules page on symptoms vs. causes, what to delete outright, what to demote to tickets
- SLOs and burn-rate alerting: we'll define 2–3 SLOs that actually reflect user experience
- Gaps and hotspots: missing golden signals, metric cardinality problems, cost drivers

You'll leave with:

- A written, prioritized audit of findings
- Concrete alert rules and SLO definitions ready to implement
- A pragmatic roadmap: quick wins for next week, structural fixes for the next quarter

To prepare: read-only access to your dashboards and alert rules via screen-share (exports or screenshots work if access is restricted). Works whether you're on Prometheus, Datadog, Grafana Cloud, or a mix.
