Having a good portfolio on hand is key for any designer in the job market. Even if you're not looking for a new position right now, having an impressive portfolio that presenty your experience to future potential employers is always good to have.
In this session, a mentor with design and hiring experience will go over your portfolio and give you actionable points on how to improve it. You will be able to follow along and make these changes right away, hopefully leaving you with a top-notch portfolio at the end of the sessions.
As a former tech startup CTO, I was responsible for making hiring decisions for many key technical roles at my company. As a mentor to many making a career transition into data science, I've also helped mentees build up GitHub portfolios with data science projects that help them stand out to employers.
In this session, we will jointly review your GitHub profile and portfolio of public repositories. I will provide targeted feedback on how to best present your strengths so increase your changes of securing an interview.
