Looking to learn a new skill? The vast amount of resources on any topic on the internet can feel overwhelming at times. A mentor can give you an overview of worthwhile content, and work with you to create a study plan.
For this session, it is a good idea to know what you're looking to study, how deep you want to go, and when you want to reach that goal. Based on that, a mentor will come up with a detailed study plan.
If you have a topic that you are interested in learning (ex. Ruby on Rails web development) but aren't sure where to start or how to track your progress, this is a great session for you!
During this session we can talk about the specific topic you have in mind along with your goals/timeline for learning it, and I will create a custom Study Plan for you which you can use as the blueprint for ramping up on that topic. At the end of the session, I will provide a google doc which will contain tactical advice and references to documentation, videos, further reading and exercises related to the topic of your choosing.
