Hi, I'm Alankar.
I'm a cloud and AI leader in Vancouver. And, I direct delivery for one of the largest cloud migration and modernization organizations in the Americas, which means a 35-person cross-functional team, around 200 customer organizations, and engagements that have generated several hundred million in cloud consumption. Most of my week splits between making hard technical calls and helping other people get good enough to make them without me.
I've been in data and AI for over a decade. I started in healthcare technology, built the first cloud data platform at a national distributor, took analytics adoption to 1,500 people at a global asset management firm, and ran analytics programs for executives at an enterprise software company. I have ten cloud and AI certifications and a master's in computer science. I still go deep on architecture, partly because I enjoy it and partly because engineers can tell when you've stopped.
The coaching is why I'm here. I've mentored engineers and architects through structured programs, and two of them were promoted inside a year. I've been a mentor in a global leadership development program, sat on hiring panels, and taught workshops to hundreds of practitioners. I'm also in the middle of the move from individual contributor to manager myself, so when we talk about that if you'd like.
