As a mentor with a background in both research and industry, I have a wealth of experience of 10+ years to draw upon when guiding individuals through the field of machine learning. My focus is on helping experienced software engineers transition into ML/DS, as well as assisting machine learning engineers in their research endeavors, and getting juniors on the right track for their career.
A typical mentorship session with me will begin with a review of your career, skills, and goals. From there, we will assess the steps and skills needed to achieve those goals and develop a long-term plan and specific projects to support your overall objective.
In addition to my expertise in machine learning, I am also available to discuss topics such as product-market-fit, validation, business models, start-up fundraising, and bootstrapping. I am currently co-founder and principal engineer at an early-stage machine learning start-up, and have a strong understanding of the challenges and considerations involved in this stage of a company's development.
Throughout my career, I have held a number of roles that have allowed me to build a diverse skill set. These include machine learning research scientist in the financial sector and Ph.D. in machine learning algorithms for software engineering and network analysis. I have also completed data science consulting projects on the side.
