Hi! I'm Daniel and a Senior Software Engineer at DigitalOcean. I've been on a software engineering journey the past 10 years when I decided to switch from business into engineering. It wasn't easy but it's been very rewarding and I'm looking to pay it forward by helping others on their career journeys!
I currently work on managed database services at DigitalOcean. My prior experience includes observability at Splunk and MLOps at Microsoft.
I studied business for my first undergrad degree but realized shortly into my career that I had a passion for software and went back to get a second degree in CS. Since then, I've been interested in the intersection between business and engineering. Education and teaching are also passions of mine and I enjoy writing about technical topics for people new to the industry.
In my free time I love to spend time with my wife and dog, go on long cycling trips, and hopefully start mountain biking this year!
