I am a full-stack software engineering manager/lead. I started my career as a frontend leaning full-stack engineer, then transitioned into a solely backend role before transitioning to the infrastructure and DevOps side of things. I have helped a number of self taught or recent bootcamp grads land their first job as a software developers as well as helped mid level engineers ascend to a senior role. I understand how important it is to have great mentorship but who mentors you is equally as important as what they're telling you. Donovan is an intelligent dude with a great understanding of the tech industry. He is great at gauging your current skills, identifying weaknesses and helping you navigate the steps needed to move forward. Working with him was an insightful experience and gave me the perspective I needed to start working towards my next role. Marketing my skills was my biggest weakness and he could not have done a better job helping me do this. I was concerned the state of my resume and Donovan knew exactly what to do to help tailor mine to be exactly where I wanted it.
