When I started working with Elliot in October, I had two profitable businesses but no clear framework for prioritizing growth initiatives. Elliot's main contribution was introducing a systematic approach to testing growth hypotheses. This sounds simple, but it forced me to stop treating every idea as equally important and start making data-driven decisions about where to invest time. He also helped me get comfortable with the idea that scaling requires accepting lower margins temporarily. As a bootstrap founder who'd grown organically, I was resistant to paid acquisition. Elliot pushed me to reframe marketing spend as learning investments rather than waste. That shift unlocked channels I'd been avoiding. The mentorship had practical limits. Some of his advice on team building and exit strategy felt premature for my stage, though it's probably valuable context for later. His SEO guidance was detailed and immediately useful, drawing from relevant experience in e-commerce. What I appreciate most is that Elliot didn't just share tactics but helped me develop better decision-making frameworks. The growth experiments model, the distinction between optimization and true scaling, the discipline around time blocking are tools I'll use long-term. Three months in, I have clearer priorities, better systems for evaluating opportunities, and more confidence in making strategic bets. The businesses are growing, though it's still early to attribute specific results. The real value has been learning to think more systematically about building scalable operations.

Elliot is amazing! He's patient, knowledgeable, kind yet doesn't minces his words. He clearly has a lot of experience and has done an excellent job contextualizing his experience to related topics and fields. I've found some of my favorite moments from the questions he asks -- like, 'why can't we just do XYZ now?'. I find myself repeatedly surprised at how well he's able to expose my blind spots and limiting beliefs. I cannot recommend Elliot enough!
