I'm a Cloud Platform Engineer in Germany — and five years ago I was in banking with zero tech background, sitting in a bathroom stall at work wondering if I'd made a terrible mistake.
I made the switch in 2021. Today I build and run production Kubernetes and AWS infrastructure for one of Europe's largest streaming platforms, I'm a 4th-year AWS Community Builder and a Google Women Techmakers Ambassador, and I speak internationally on reliability engineering and mentored 60+ across four cohorts.
But the reason I'm here is what happened in between. The technical part of my transition was the easy half. The hard half was the identity: believing I belonged, learning what to ignore, and knowing which 20% of the tooling landscape actually gets you hired.
So that's what I mentor on. Not tutorials — you can get those free. I work with people who are serious about crossing over into cloud and DevOps and want someone who has actually made the crossing, in a second language, in a foreign country, while raising three children.
What we'll work on:
• A specific, realistic target role and the shortest honest path to it
• Hands-on AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD — built into portfolio projects that survive an interview
• Positioning: your CV, your LinkedIn, and the story that turns your "irrelevant" background into your edge
• The mindset work — imposter syndrome, visibility, and asking for what you're worth
Who I work best with: career changers, self-taught engineers, and juniors who feel invisible. I mentor globally and I have a particular heart for African and diaspora talent.
I've mentored across multiple cohorts through Mentorship Matters Africa, the organisation I founded. One of my mentees is now an AWS Community Builder himself. Another moved from hospitality into a structured tech path this year.
I'm direct. I'll tell you what isn't working. If you show up, I'll go all the way with you.
