>> Who am I?
Hello everyone! I'm Heloisa, a Dutch-Brazilian Engineering Manager currently based in the Netherlands. I've been in the tech industry for almost 20 years, 7 of them as a manager. I've worked at some big companies such as Walmart and most recently, Booking.com, where I've spent the last 9 years. At Booking, I made growing people my speciality, submitting 6 successful promotion cases, mentoring other Engineering Managers, as well as preparing ICs for lateral moves.

I'm looking for mentees willing to grow in their career and upgrading their skills:
- Individual contributors looking for a promotion (or a more senior job elsewhere): I can make an assessment about your skills, develop an action plan, help you to get visibility at your company and review resumés
- Individual contributors considering taking the management path: are you considering becoming a manager? I can talk about the position, what it takes to be a good manager, the daily challenges and help you to make a decision
- Engineering Management on a daily basis: happy to help new EMs to navigate the beginning of their journey, or even seasoned EMs to navigate specific challenges.
- Women in Leadership: happy to empower other fellow women to navigate their careers and transition to leadership roles.

- I'm a very analytical person. I'll ask a lot of questions - I'll even ask you to fill a brief assignment before our first meeting so we can make the most out of our first session.
- I don't believe in generic formulas and will not bombard you with jargons in our first meeting.
- Once I have the full picture, I'll offer you a tailored solution based on your case. Then, we can work together on creating a development plan and have follow up sessions until you achieve the desired outcome.
- Despite being analytical and candid, I'm also a very relaxed person and might occasionally use metaphors about soccer or movies to make a point :)
