When I stepped into a new technical leadership role, the learning curve was steep. I was navigating corporate politics, stakeholder management, team dynamics, architecture decisions, and delivery timelines, all at once. I needed someone who had been there, done it, scaled it! and could help me think through it clearly. Jason was exactly that. What stood out most was how he helped me understand the perspective of senior executives. How they think, what they care about, how to position yourself effectively in the room. That shift in perspective alone changed how I approached difficult conversations and conflict with other technical leaders. Beyond the interpersonal side, he helped me stay grounded in what actually matters: being data-oriented, feature-focused, and eyes-on-the-goal while maturing the architecture alongside the product. That balance is hard to hold, and having a thought partner who has done it as a CTO made a real difference. The sessions were conversational, never prescriptive. Jason listened first, then shared.
