About
In 2010, I started my career in Bloomberg as a software engineer working on Trading systems. With the help of my peers, managers and professional coaches, I built a new engineering team from ground up, tackled a business opportunity and grew into a tech lead / manager in 2016.
Deeply influenced by one of the company values "Be bold and take calculated risk", I started to explore startups in different stages and different industries:
- led the Portfolio management team and Trading team at Betterment (a series E wealth management startup) as a senior engineering manager.
- led the backend engineering org at Beeswax (a series B AdTech startup and acquired by Comcast) as the director of engineering.
- led the Core Messaging org at Attentive (a series E Marketing tech startup) as the senior engineering manager.
I am currently working on my own VC-backed startup as the Co-founder & CTO.
Looking back my career, I am grateful of the mentorship and coaching I received and deeply enjoy growing other engineers towards their career goals, which prompted me to start mentoring externally in 2021. If you are an engineer who is looking to accelerate leveling up, I would love to help!
