About

I’m Kevin, a developer educator and consultant based in Northern Ireland with over a decade of experience delivering technical training to engineers at organisations like BBC, CERN, NatWest, and Deloitte. My work sits at the intersection of software development and teaching. I design and deliver hands-on training in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, AI-enabled workflows, and software architecture.

I work best with developers who are early-to-mid career and want to level up beyond tutorials. People who can write code but want to think more clearly about design decisions, career direction, or how to work effectively with modern AI tooling. I’m especially drawn to mentees who are curious and self-directed but benefit from a thinking partner to help them prioritise and push through sticking points.

My mentoring style is practical and conversational. I’ll ask questions more than I give answers, but I won’t shy away from direct feedback when it’s useful. If you’re looking for someone who will help you think through real problems you’re facing right now rather than generic career advice, I’d love to hear from you. Feel free to reach out and tell me a bit about where you are and what you’re trying to figure out.
