I'm a Senior UX Designer turned MBA candidate at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business (Class of 2028). Over my career I've designed products at Amazon, Sonos, Daily Harvest (where I joined pre-unicorn and grew with the company through its scale-up phase), and TripAdvisor — giving me a range few designers have, from big-tech rigor to early-stage startup speed. My work has been recognized with an iF Design Award, often called the "Oscar" of product design.
My path here wasn't conventional: I studied Industrial Design for my bachelor's and Engineering Management for my master's, then self-taught my way into UX — so I know firsthand what it takes to pivot into design without a traditional background. I'm now channeling everything I've learned into building a company in women's health tech.
I mentor people navigating career transitions: breaking into UX or product design, moving from IC to leadership, or making the leap from industry into an MBA. As a first-generation immigrant who built my career from scratch, I bring honest, practical guidance — and I'm known as an excellent storyteller, which shows up in how I help mentees reframe their own experience into a compelling narrative.
I've mentored designers on ADPList(https://adplist.org/mentors/linlin-liu) — feel free to check my reviews there. Let's talk about your career questions, portfolio, interview prep, or whatever transition you're navigating.
