Senior Software Engineer at GitHub Actions. I build distributed systems and tooling for platform engineering and developer experience, improving how teams deploy and scale cloud-native workloads. Iām especially interested in Go, Kubernetes, networking, containers, and observability. I also maintain a strong interest in emerging technologies like Rust, eBPF, and WebAssembly for their potential to improve performance, security, and portability.
Beyond my primary expertise, I've branched out into areas like frontend development with React and TypeScript, data engineering and Google Cloud to name a few. My past also saw me wearing the hats of a consultant, delivering hands-on training sessions, hosting podcasts, and organizing meetups for the tech community. I'm an active contributor to open source and believe in the importance of knowledge sharing, as evidenced by my blog posts and talks. Additionally, I hold the title of Google Developer Expert (GDE) and CNCF Ambassador.
For a deeper dive into my contributions, head over to my blog. For those new to open source, consider exploring Verto.sh. And if you're on the lookout for mentorship, I offer guidance on Mentorcruise. Outside of work, activities like photography, cycling, cooking on a kamado and cleaning litterboxes keep me occupied š.

I've been looking for a mentor who can guide me, help me achieve my career goals, and keep me accountable. For over a year, Luca has been mentoring me. He reviews my code, recommends books for me to read, and we discuss daily engineering topics as they arise. Recently, I started a new position at a different company, and I am very happy in my new role. I believe this mentorship has made me a better engineer.

I have been mentored for about 10 months now and it has been a great journey so far. Luca is very good at identifying and addressing the gaps in my knowledge and setting up a plan to improve as a whole. Next to that we go in depth career wise and talk about challenges/improvements at my current job. Our meetings are relaxed, clear and make me enthusiastic for the next steps into the projects we develop throughout the mentorship. These projects also allow me to learn new topics and add onto existing knowledge while getting clear and accurate feedback on PRs. Still very satisfied and excited for the future of the mentorship :)

My collaboration with Luca has been very helpful! He's a person who would answer your questions and give practical pieces of advice on where to find more info and how to use it the best. But don't forget that most of the work has to be done and determined by YOU, and Luca is there to help you, not to tell you what to do, so don't forget to read how to actually work with a mentor.
