Hands-on support
👋🏻 Hi, I'm Natalie, a senior design leader with 15+ years of experience building and scaling design teams across fintech, technology, and enterprise data platforms. I've most recently served as Senior Director of Design for U.S. Card Platforms & Data at Capital One. Previously, I led Data Management and Explainability Design teams at Meta, shaping global standards for data transparency and trust. Earlier in my career, I worked for agencies (Accenture, FJORD, AbelsonTaylor) leading 0-to-1 design initiatives for Fortune 500 and public-sector organizations including Allstate, AstraZeneca, Beats Music, Best Buy, Caterpillar Inc, GE, John Deere, Penske, Southwest, and the State of Michigan. But enough about me, my mentorship is about you.
💡 What I Can Help You With
+ Navigating complex, regulated, or highly technical environments
+ Improving your influence of cross-functional partners and executives
+ Stepping into people management from being an individual contributor
+ Establishing the type of leader you want to be and coaching you toward that
+ Preparing you for difficult conversations with managers, partners, and direct reports
+ Helping you define how, where you need to scale your team, and when you shouldn't
+ Getting you organized to recruit and interview candidates who best align with team needs
+ Setting up operational routines to improve your ability to lead and support larger teams
+ Making sense of career transitions, role changes, and times of uncertainty
+ Crafting, refining the narrative around your work for what you do next
🛠️ How I Help Within Sessions
+ Non-judgmental, structured exploration incorporating new points of view
+ Clarification of what success actually looks like for you, and what it doesn't
+ Tangible tools and frameworks to choose a path, not just identify options
+ Co-creative problem-solving with concrete tasks and activities to try then iterate
+ Offering specific examples from my own experiences, mentorship learnings
+ Providing any external resources where applicable if helpful
