About

Most mentors will tell you to embrace AI. I'll show you how, because I do it every day.
Twenty years in senior leadership: VP at a FTSE 100, GM of a deep-tech startup I grew from 3 to 35 people, then CEO of an AIM-listed plc. For the last two years I've built five commercial SaaS products from scratch, writing every line myself with Claude. Millions of lines shipped. They're live, they have paying customers, and I still ship to them most days.
I also spent nine years as a training manager and hold a diploma in executive coaching and NLP. I know how adults actually learn, not just what good advice sounds like.
Living with ADHD taught me early that the right systems aren't a luxury. They're how I function. That shaped everything: how I lead, how I build, how I coach.
Who this is for
Founders, senior leaders, and people about to step into a bigger role, who can see AI changing the shape of their work and want a mentor already living it rather than reading about it.
What we'll work on
Building with AI properly. Which tools, how to structure the work so the output stays maintainable, how to get past the pitfalls that make most people quit in week two, and how to make it stick inside a real team.
Leadership under pressure. Board dynamics, funding rounds (I'm running one now), scaling teams, and the shift from doing the work to owning the outcome.
Clarity. Cutting the noise until you can see the two or three things that actually matter this quarter.
Track record
Five commercial SaaS products built and shipped solo, millions of lines committed across five production repos
Grew a satellite startup from 3 to 35 staff, £20m+ ESA funding secured
7x sales pipeline growth as CEO of an AIM-listed plc
$100m+ division at Inmarsat turned from -5% to +11% growth
$230m revenue in a single year, one million devices sold
Nine years as a training manager, diploma in executive coaching and NLP
How it works

What mentees say

5 out of 5 stars

Since March, Philip has provided highly valuable business coaching and leadership support. His guidance has helped me better understand where I am in my career from a skills perspective, identify the areas I need to develop further, and build greater confidence in my own abilities. He has consistently demonstrated strong knowledge, empathy, and patience, creating a supportive environment where I can reflect honestly and focus on my career progression. Philip’s vast knowledge across AI, leadership, and coding has been particularly valuable. He has helped me refine my work habits to become more leadership-focused, shared best practice in the smaller details that make a meaningful difference, and supported my understanding of how AI can be used to develop ideas and build applications. Overall, Philip has made a very positive contribution to my professional development, and I greatly value his insight, encouragement, and practical guidance.

Andre, thank you. This genuinely means a lot. Working with you since March has been a real pleasure, and the progress has been yours to own. You showed up ready to reflect honestly and do the work, which is exactly what makes coaching land. What's stood out to me is your willingness to sit with the harder questions about where you are and where you want to be, rather than rushing past them. That's not always comfortable, and you've handled it with real openness. Watching your confidence grow, and seeing you start to think and work in a more leadership-focused way, has been the best part of this. You've got the instincts; I've just helped you trust them a bit more. Keep going. I'm looking forward to seeing where you take it next.

Philip's response

5 out of 5 stars

Phil has advised us on our AI build for the past two months, and he has overdelivered in every session. He listens first, asks the questions we should have asked ourselves, and then turns rough ideas into working systems, sometimes live on the call. He works five time zones away and has never once let that become our problem. In my 20 years of hiring consultants, this is what I hope for and rarely get: five stars undersells him.
