With over 10 years of professional experience as a software engineer and 7+ years in engineering management roles, I'm an engineering leader who focuses on empathy, trust, and communication. I've also spent much of my career working in Japan, leading cross-cultural engineering teams and helping people navigate career growth in an international environment.

Working with Scott was a pleasure. I began my mentorship in a high-pressure environment, and during the early sessions I often found myself venting about challenges within the company. Scott listened with genuine interest and patience, providing a calm and supportive space to reflect. He helped me step back and see the bigger picture, guiding me towards alternative ways of approaching difficult situations. I already left one of these but don't mind leaving another since it's asking. Scott was amazing and really helped in answering my questions and clearing away a lot of the uncertainty revolving around moving to a new country. Scott helped me with every aspect from filling out my resume and prepping for my interview, finding an apartment and even what to expect from day to day life in Japan. I can honestly say this process would have been infinitely more stressful without his help and I definitely recommend Scott to anyone who's trying to make a move from the US to Japan.
