I'm currently an Engineering leader at Meta, I've previously served as a Director of Engineering at Upwork and held leadership roles at companies such as Pinterest, PayPal, Snap, and Spotify in domains ranging from shopping and crypto to messaging, video creation, and ads.
As a mentor, I offer guidance and support to engineering managers and engineers looking to take their skills and careers to the next level. Whether you're looking to develop your leadership skills, transition to management, or navigate the complexities of the tech industry, I'm here to help. Sebastiano is a fantastic mentor - what a relief it was to be able to chat with someone friendly, grounded, and empathic, but also gives it to you straight. I know I grew my skills during my time with Seb. Even if you have mentors within your org, like a manager or a step manager, it's especially valuable to get a 3rd party perspective on the dynamics of managing and working with ours within a tech org. Seb helped me keep on track with my career goals and took me further and faster than I would have accomplished on my own.

Seb is quite a great mentor! Great character and skills, and don’t take my words for granted. Here’s why I think so: Seb focuses on real situations - he doesn’t drift into vague or generic advice. When needed, he brings in simple, practical frameworks that actually help. He stays focused on facts and clarity rather than emotional validation (i.e., prioritizing fact-making over feeling-checking), and keeps his feedback objective and non-personal. He has this “professional parent” vibe - grounded, and genuinely invested in your growth. He gives both proactive and reactive feedback depending on what you need. He’s excellent at breaking down work dynamics: influence, politics, how roles interact, and how to operate depending on your position. He also helps map out your career growth or support you in reaching your goals if you already have a plan in mind. He helped me understand the dynamics in my team and how to navigate them without overreacting, figure out how to influence stakeholders more effectively, and separate my reaction from facts when evaluating tricky situations. He also helped me identify situations where I could manage my expectations by steering my actions toward the outcomes I wanted rather than relying on upper management. Highly recommend.
