About

Hello everyone, the name is Tashfiq Akhand, aka "Tash", and I am the National Partner Technical Leader for NetApp Canada. I've been helping many professionals and early in career unlock their full potential by helping through Resume Revisions, Interview Preparation, Career Planning, and Career acceleration. Whether you're a recent graduate, aspiring to change roles, or seeking guidance to unlock your career aspirations, I offer personalized sessions tailored to your goals.

About me:
It is my responsibility to manage, lead, and most importantly enable the NetApp partner solution architects nation-wide. I am responsible for crafting national sales and partnership strategies, with a strong emphasis on data infrastructure, data intelligence, and data security.

While in the past I was a Veritas Enterprise SE who covered the Canadian Federal Government and Western Canada, I possess the expertise to devise strategic blueprints for delivering mission-critical solutions to customers.

I've sold to federal government accounts, large energy companies, large financial institutions, as well as many in the Fortune 500, ranging from $50k up to $4M deals, exceeding targets and hitting the juicy accelerators. I know many avenues of sales segments as I cover the country and my key strength is being customer-centric and being able to articulate advanced technical solutions in a comprehensive manner to all audiences. I do by always questioning the "why?" and having a genuine curiosity to all things as a SE.

I achieved this at a sub-30 age and want to help others accelerate their careers whether it’s a sales/solutions engineer, account executive, or SDR/BDR in the tech space.

What mentees say

5 out of 5 stars

Tash's depth in the game of presales is well rooted, he helped me change my thought process about approaching the presales role. Then assisted me to develop my LinkedIn profile, my resume, and the communication style required for this role, by being very straight forward about the deficiencies I carried. So that my profile can resonate with the sales recruiters based on my LinkedIn overview and I resonate during initial recruiter screening as well as with the hiring managers. After working with Tash then facelifting my LinkedIn profile and getting it reviewed by him I did get approached by several recruiters. Then followed by candid feedback about my mock interview sessions with him on how I did and the areas I needed to still improve on, provided me a set of behavioral questions which were very useful in improving my confidence further. My time with him was really worth going for a coaching with him.

I cannot recommend Tosh highly enough. As someone stepping into a new role as a Technical Partner Manager, working with him has been genuinely transformative. First, the generosity he brings to every session is remarkable. We consistently run over time, and it's always because he's making sure I leave with everything I need — asking follow-up questions, giving thorough answers, and checking in to make sure nothing is left unaddressed. That kind of investment in a mentee is rare. But what's really set Tosh apart is how fundamentally he's helped me reframe how I see my role. I came in thinking of myself as a Sales Engineer supporting a Partnerships team. Through our conversations, I've completely shifted that mindset — I now think of myself as a connector and relationship-builder whose job is to help our partnership organization scale from a technical perspective. That sounds like a subtle shift, but it's changed everything about how I show up at work. The results speak for themselves: I've taken on significantly more responsibility, I've become much more vocal about how I want to define my role and what I believe matters, and I've set — and achieved — entirely new kinds of goals. I'm more confident, more strategic, and more effective than I was before we started working together. Tosh is an exceptional mentor — brilliant, warm, easy to talk to, and clearly invested in your growth. If you get the chance to work with him, take it without hesitation.
