Working with Shannon has been one of the most valuable learning experiences of my engineering career. Her depth of knowledge in rotating equipment—pumps, centrifugal compressors, mechanical seals, dry-gas seals, and machinery diagnostics has helped me build a solid foundation in both the equipment and the broader systems they support. She’s generous with her time and clear in explaining complex topics, especially around interpreting P&IDs from an operational perspective, diving into details like single vs. double suction impellers. That kind of hands-on insight has accelerated my development and I am very grateful for it. And we’ve only just scratched the surface. I’m looking forward to continuing to learn from her on screw compressors, heat exchangers, pressure vessels — and eventually branching into piping and stress analysis.
