Interview preparation is about showing up with clarity, confidence, and a strong sense of how to present your experience. This MentorCruise session is designed to help you prepare for upcoming interviews in a practical, personalized way, whether you are early in your career, making a transition, or aiming for a more competitive role.

You’ll work with an experienced mentor to sharpen your story, improve your answers, and get ready for the questions that matter most. Together, you can practice mock interviews, refine how you talk about your background, prepare for technical or behavioral rounds, and identify the areas that need the most work. The goal is to help you walk into the interview feeling more prepared, more polished, and more confident in your ability to stand out.

Interviewing for UX roles can be stressful—and often, the hardest part is knowing what to expect. In this session, I’ll run a realistic mock interview tailored to the types of roles you’re targeting. We’ll go through common questions, critique your responses, and work on how you present your process, impact, and thinking. Whether you’re preparing for a junior role or a leadership position, I’ll help you feel more confident and prepared.

1. Practicing common UX interview questions (e.g., process, collaboration, tradeoffs)
2. Evaluating your storytelling and ability to communicate clearly
3. Offering feedback on how you frame your role and contributions
4. Helping you avoid common traps (rambling, lack of clarity, underselling yourself)
5. Coaching on presence, pacing, and how to handle curveball questions
6. Tailoring your responses for the type of company or role (IC vs. manager, startup vs. enterprise)
