Interview preparation is about showing up with clarity, confidence, and a strong sense of how to present your experience. This MentorCruise session is designed to help you prepare for upcoming interviews in a practical, personalized way, whether you are early in your career, making a transition, or aiming for a more competitive role.

You’ll work with an experienced mentor to sharpen your story, improve your answers, and get ready for the questions that matter most. Together, you can practice mock interviews, refine how you talk about your background, prepare for technical or behavioral rounds, and identify the areas that need the most work. The goal is to help you walk into the interview feeling more prepared, more polished, and more confident in your ability to stand out.

This is what I do. I've spent the last several years conducting thousands of mock interviews with engineers at every level from entry through to staff. I've sat on hiring panels at JPMorgan and FAANG companies, and led hiring as an engineering manager at high-growth startups. I know the formats, the rubrics, the signals interviewers are looking for, and the mistakes that cost candidates offers they were qualified for.

I've helped hundreds of engineers successfully prepare for and land roles at Meta, Google, Netflix, Antropic, and other top tech companies across the full seniority spectrum. That range matters, coaching a new grad through their first behavioural loop requires a completely different approach to helping a senior engineer stop getting down-levelled, and I've done both enough times to know exactly where each goes wrong.

This session is not a generic run-through. I'll assess where you are, identify what's likely to hurt you at your target company and level, and give you specific, honest feedback to help you go in sharper.

I typically run mock interviews in the early mornings, evenings and weekends (PT), with flexible slots available across time zones for engineers in the Bay Area, NYC, London, and Asia.
