About this Session

An introductory call is a simple way to get to know a mentor before committing to ongoing mentorship. This session gives you the chance to ask questions, talk through your goals, and see whether the mentor’s background, communication style, and approach feel like the right fit for you. It is a low-pressure starting point designed to help you make a more confident decision.

You can use the call to share what you are working on, what kind of support you are looking for, and where you feel stuck right now. It is also a chance to understand how the mentor typically works with mentees, what kind of guidance they can offer, and whether there is a strong mutual fit. The goal is to leave the conversation with more clarity on your next step and whether you want to continue working together.

Your mentor

I've spent 10+ years as an engineer at JPMorgan, FAANG, and high-growth startups and the last several years running thousands of mock interviews with engineers at every level, from new grads to staff engineers. I've been on multiple hiring panels and I know what top companies actually look for. I also know exactly where candidates lose offers they should have won.
This call helps me understand your situation, your goals, and where you're getting stuck before we commit to working together. That means you'll leave with an honest view of what's holding you back and a clear sense of whether my approach is the right fit.
My coaching covers system design, algorithms, frontend interviews, communication, and storytelling, so whether you're targeting your first senior role, aiming for staff, or switching industries, I can tell you in 30 minutes whether I'm the right person to get you there.
I typically run introductory calls in the evenings and weekends (PT), with flexible slots available across time zones for engineers based in the Bay Area, NYC, London, and Asia.
Come with your questions. Leave with clarity.
