An introductory call is a simple way to get to know a mentor before committing to ongoing mentorship. You can use the call to share what you are working on, what kind of support you are looking for, and where you feel stuck right now. It is also a chance to understand how the mentor typically works with mentees, what kind of guidance they can offer, and whether there is a strong mutual fit. The goal is to leave the conversation with more clarity on your next step and whether you want to continue working together.

I've spent 12+ years building a career across research science, science communication, product leadership, and emerging tech. From a chemistry PhD and AstraZeneca research to directing the development of VR/AR products at Labster and Edify to leading AI researcher engagement for AlphaFold at Google DeepMind. I've also been on the hiring side extensively, conducting 800+ interviews across UX/UI, Product, Science Communication and varied contractor/temp roles.

Can I reschedule?

Yes, up to 24 hours before the session. Message your mentor and find a new time that works for both of you.

What if my mentor doesn't show up?

You're protected. If a mentor is a no-show, it takes one click to cancel and get your money back, no questions asked.

How do refunds work?
