This MentorCruise session is designed to help you improve how your work is presented, whether you are applying for jobs, pitching clients, or building credibility in your field. If your portfolio feels scattered, outdated, or not quite convincing enough, this session gives you practical feedback on how to strengthen it.

You’ll work with an experienced mentor to review your portfolio through the eyes of a hiring manager, client, or industry peer. Together, you can assess the quality of your project selection, case studies, storytelling, structure, and presentation, and identify what is missing or not landing. The goal is to leave with clearer direction on how to make your portfolio more focused, more compelling, and more effective at creating opportunities.

Here’s how the session will work:

Send your portfolio (or work-in-progress link) ahead of time so I can review it before we meet.

We’ll go through things like:

Metrics & Impact: Are you effectively showing the results of your work? We’ll look at how to incorporate or estimate impact (like increased conversion rates, improved usability, or user feedback) even when numerical data isn’t available.

Structure: Is your portfolio easy to navigate and logically organized?

Storytelling: Do your case studies clearly explain your design process, problem-solving, and outcomes?

Clarity: Are your visuals and writing clean, focused, and easy to understand?

Positioning: Does your portfolio reflect the type of roles you’re targeting?

Polish: Are there visual or content tweaks that can elevate the overall presentation?
