This MentorCruise session is designed to help you improve how your work is presented, whether you are applying for jobs, pitching clients, or building credibility in your field. If your portfolio feels scattered, outdated, or not quite convincing enough, this session gives you practical feedback on how to strengthen it.
You’ll work with an experienced mentor to review your portfolio through the eyes of a hiring manager, client, or industry peer. Together, you can assess the quality of your project selection, case studies, storytelling, structure, and presentation, and identify what is missing or not landing. The goal is to leave with clearer direction on how to make your portfolio more focused, more compelling, and more effective at creating opportunities.

As a hiring manager and lead designer with 20+ years of experience at companies like Atlassian, Shopify, Booking.com, and Xero, I’ve reviewed hundreds of portfolios and helped designers land roles at top-tier companies. I specialize in storytelling, visual design, and aligning portfolios with real-world hiring expectations. I usually run sessions in the Sydney time zone but can be flexible depending on where you are—just reach out if you’re unsure. I’m happy to conduct sessions in either English or Portuguese.

Sessions happen over video call. Your mentor shares the meeting link ahead of time, so all you need is a quiet spot and a stable connection.
Can I reschedule?
Yes, up to 24 hours before the session. Message your mentor and find a new time that works for both of you.
What if my mentor doesn't show up?
You're protected. If a mentor is a no-show, it takes one click to cancel and get your money back, no questions asked.
How do refunds work?
