This MentorCruise session is designed to help you improve how your work is presented, whether you are applying for jobs, pitching clients, or building credibility in your field. If your portfolio feels scattered, outdated, or not quite convincing enough, this session gives you practical feedback on how to strengthen it.
You’ll work with an experienced mentor to review your portfolio through the eyes of a hiring manager, client, or industry peer. Together, you can assess the quality of your project selection, case studies, storytelling, structure, and presentation, and identify what is missing or not landing. The goal is to leave with clearer direction on how to make your portfolio more focused, more compelling, and more effective at creating opportunities.
Your mentor
I’m a Product and UX/UI Designer with 12+ years of experience building and shaping digital products for startups, scale-ups and global brands.
My work spans product strategy, UX/UI, design systems, growth, brand and end-to-end product development. Over the years, I’ve worked with organisations including Nike, Rolls-Royce, Mercedes-Benz, Salesforce, Virgin Media O2 and Atlassian, as well as high-growth startups. I was also part of the journey at Runna, which went on to be acquired by Strava.
Alongside hands-on product work, I speak at design and technology events, mentor emerging designers and contribute to the industry through judging and professional development.
I’ve reviewed portfolios from designers at different stages of their careers, and I know the difference between a portfolio that simply looks polished and one that clearly communicates how you think, what you contributed and why your work matters.
