About this session

I didn't start my career in presales and it took me years to break into an SE role. Now I have 15+ years of Solution Engineering experience and enjoy helping others transition into the best and most rewarding role in technology (even without a tech degree).

I also have 25 years in HR technology experience, so understand how hiring practices work, how AI scores resumes, and what hiring managers are looking for.

This is usually an iterative process. Recommend we connect for a short session to walk through your resume and experience. Following that, I'll optimize the resume verbiage offline and share the updated version back. There's typically a few revisions based on feedback.

In this session, also happy to discuss the optimization process for recruiting system AI scoring, skills to highlight, and discuss the experience hiring managers are looking for.

Your mentor

I have mentored dozens of Junior Solution Consultants on both product skills and soft skills. In addition, I've also helped people outside of the technology industry break into presales roles, despite some not having a technology degree. I believe the product knowledge is secondary to the soft skills, so if you are interested in making a transition, I can help with resume optimization, interview prep, mock demos, etc.

I have been in the technology space since 1999, and exclusively in presales roles for 15+ years. I have a unique background in that I've been a Developer (coder), Implementation Consultant, Technical Solution Engineer, and Functional Solution Engineer.

I've also spent my entire career (25 years) in HR technology, so understand how hiring processes work and how AI interprets resumes.

How do I pick a time?

Sessions happen over video call. Your mentor shares the meeting link ahead of time, so all you need is a quiet spot and a stable connection.

Can I reschedule?
