I have continuously mentored engineers for the past decade and find joy in discovering each engineer's strengths and learning opportunities and helping support them in whatever way they need each session. I am goal oriented and direct, but also very supportive and non-judgmental. Come as you are and we will see where you want to go next!

A bit about me: I have been working in software for over 20 years, have a Masters in Software Engineering from UT Austin, and have held many different titles and worked on many different projects in multiple roles. Currently, I run the Architecture Guild and help lead the Developer Experience team at my current company. I have also been an Engineering Manager for a hot minute (I missed the code!), a Tech Lead at Elastic, a Team Lead and Architect, and founding engineer and architect at a startup. Prior to coding, I functioned as a Tech Writer and QA Engineer and still bring this passion for well-tested and well-documented code with me every day in my current role.

I can help you figure out how to improve developer experience on your current team or at your current company. I can also help with technical designs and architecture for current or dream projects. I can also provide tips and tricks for how to test and validate what you are working on. I also have a lot of experience helping folks figure out what's next for them for their career or learning goals. I am very open to feedback and hope to deliver a satisfying mentorship experience to you and learn a bit in the process myself!
