Every trial is a little different—here’s what Carlson says about their trial:
We'll meet for a quick call (usually under 30 minutes) where we:
- Break the ice and introduce ourselves
- Discuss your goals and how I can support you
- Coordinate logistics like time zones, meeting frequency, and communication methods
I've been in the software industry for ~17 years working for two large tech firms - all of it as an Individual Contributor. I've grown from being a fresh software engineer graduate to now a Distinguished Engineer doing cross-organization architectural big impact work. I've experienced all the spectrums of emotion through out my career and have learned how to grow, work effectively with others and be a well respected and enjoyable teammate. I will work with you on your career growth, mentor you on general architecture and software design principles, how to design great APIs, work with you on developing soft skills to work with others and teach you how to make decisions.
