Chaitanya Rahalkar

Hi! I'm Chaitanya, a Software Security Engineer at Block (formerly Square). I specialize in building secure systems and finding vulnerabilities in complex software.

I completed my MS in Cybersecurity from Georgia Tech and have worked at companies like Meta and Praetorian, where I focused on security engineering and penetration testing. At Meta, I developed fuzzing systems that found multiple security issues in production code. At Praetorian, I conducted security assessments for major tech companies and mentored junior engineers.

I'm passionate about applied security research, particularly in areas like privacy-preserving technologies and secure system design. I've published several papers on topics ranging from blockchain privacy to content moderation in encrypted systems.

My recent work focuses on developing enterprise-scale security pipelines and detection systems. I believe in a hands-on approach to security and enjoy both building secure systems and breaking insecure ones.
