I'm a career coach for underrepresented midcareer software professionals and founder of Ally for Onlys in Tech. You might know me for my book “Agile Project Management with Kanban” or my 20+ year blog “I.M. Wright’s Hard Code.” Prior to coaching, I was a Group Engineering Manager for Xbox, Windows, and Azure engineering services and the Xbox.com web sites, a director of engineering learning and development for Microsoft Corporation, and a Group Engineering Manager for a shared feature team in Microsoft Office. Before joining Microsoft in 1995, I was a Senior Principal Scientist at Boeing, and a developer for Silicon Graphics, GRAFTEK, JPL, and Bank Leumi. I've published two books on software best practices, hold eight patents, a BS and MS in mathematics, and a Ph.D. in applied mathematics. I'm also an Affiliate Professor evenings at the University of Washington's Bothell campus. I'd be delighted to be your mentor.
