Yes, you can design your career.
I've designed my career and helped over 300 mentees design and grow theirs. I mostly coach professionals across product/UX design, UX research, digital accessibility, and product management. Frequent topics I cover with my mentees are "how to stand out from the crowd" and "what's next in my career", and the most repeated feedback keywords I get from my mentees are "motivational", "insightful", "great communicator", and "actionable".
I recently founded a design consulting agency, Designed Connected, and a curated designer community with a focus on career ownership called Designed Minds. Previously, I led conversational AI design practices at the Home Depot.
My expertise is in UX, conversational AI, and design and product strategy. Prior to designing conversational AI tools, I built and delivered user insights and design strategies for websites, mobile and desktop apps, and wearable devices.
