Hi! I'm Ian, a Staff Software Engineer with a strong passion for building scalable and efficient systems. I've had the pleasure of working with some incredible teams, most notably at Axiom Zen and Dapper Labs, where I was a founding member of the one of the biggest Web3 NFT marketplaces, NBA Top Shot. My expertise lies in backend development, particularly using Golang and microservices architecture, and I thrive in agile environments where innovation and teamwork are key.
Over the years, I've led teams of engineers, optimizing build processes and implementing systems that significantly improved our CI/CD pipeline. I love diving into complex problems and coming up with creative solutions, whether it's through coding, architecture, or leading a team to success.
I'm also an advocate for open-source software, which was a big part of my work at Red Hat, where I maintained the Standard Widget Toolkit (SWT) for Eclipse and even had the chance to speak at conferences like EclipseCon. I've also continued working on as a Developer Experience Engineer at the Flow Foundation, where I contribute to developer tools to help build the Flow Blockchain Ecosystem.
When I'm not coding, I'm likely preparing for my next hackathon. I've won a few, and even had the honor of being a judge at some. I believe in continuous learning and sharing knowledge, so I'm excited to mentor and help others grow in their tech careers.
