Kaleb McKelvey

When I started my career as an intern near my hometown, it was clear that I had a lot of questions about being a professional, how to plan or manage projects, and best practices when developing software at a professional level. Thankfully, I had great mentors who helped me understand the importance of planning for the future now.

From helping me prepare for presentations, reviewing my code, giving feedback, or pushing me to take new opportunities that I would grow, I am the person I am today because of the people who helped along the way.

Now I want to be that person to others. I've volunteered to mentee college students and veterans as they learn about careers in tech. This is a paid program, for those ready to put in the effort that will make their dreams come true. I'll be right here to help change, advise, and help you revolutionize how you get there!

Who am I exactly?

I'm Kaleb McKelvey, a small town-raised young professional, who focuses on exhibiting high character combined with a strong ambition to continuously grow a little bit each day.

I began my career working as a Jr AX Dynamics developer at Shentel, and transitioned to a leadership program at GE Healthcare which led to becoming a Staff Software Engineer; since then, I've had the opportunity to work as a web dev at Northwestern Mutual, Disney, and now Netflix.

My experiences in leadership and technical depth have molded me into a well-rounded Software Engineer who has a true passion for technology!

Outside of work I love to hang out with friends, watch Netflix with my fiance, play new video games, travel to new places and take on new adventures, and learn how to be a better thinker.

I've been on a mission to continuously grow through my career and personal experiences as a Software Engineer. I hope to share the things I learn with the world!
