Hi there! My name is Lily Yang. I’m a former Senior Software Engineer at Amazon with over 8 years of experience, where I led several high-impact projects across diverse domains and teams. My expertise spans backend systems, data pipelines, and large language models (LLMs). I have helped many junior engineers successfully get promoted or transition into new roles.

As a mentor, I support software engineers in all aspects of career growth—whether it's preparing for a promotion, switching roles, acing interviews, or discussing system design.

As a tech leader and a woman in tech, I understand the challenges women may face in their careers, and I’m passionate about supporting others through them. So if you have questions or need advice related to being a woman in tech, I'm always happy to help.

I love connecting with people and take a thoughtful approach to mentoring. I don’t just focus on the “what” and the “how”—I also emphasize the “why.” I believe in helping mentees build strong mental models that will serve them well over the long term.

I am currently taking a career break so my time is quite flexible! :)
