Hands-on support
👋 Hi there! I’m Rina, a Product Designer with 7+ years of experience at companies like Snap, Meta, and Amazon. Before transitioning to a career in tech, I studied and practiced Architecture.
For the past few years, I've mentored 60+ people through career transitions, interviewing skills, and helped mentees receive offers at Google, Meta, Wealthsimple, and more.
Whether you are a student, UX bootcamp graduate, career switcher, or new professional, we can work together to come up with a plan specific to your goals. My mentorship style involves active listening, encouragement, and pragmatic, tactical feedback.
As a career switcher, I know how stressful it is to transition your career in a tougher than usual market. While it feels like you're starting over from scratch, there are many ways you can leverage and market your existing skillset. By understanding your unique background, I can give guidance on ways you can stand out.
As someone who has received offers at top tech companies (Google, Meta, Amazon, Uber, Pinterest, Cashapp, Square, Snap and more), I can help you break into the tech industry and teach you frameworks that work. I have experience as a screener and design interviewer and can give you tips on how to best represent yourself to the hiring team.
As your mentor, I can help you with the following:
→ Transition your career to Product Design
→ Review your Portfolio & CV
→ Guide you through the Product Design Interview process
→ Prepare you for whiteboards/app critiques
→ Understand salary & market expectations
→ Mock UX Interviews
→ Break into a top tech company
Ultimately, the time we set aside is for you, we can tailor our meetings to what is helpful for you at any given time. Can’t wait to meet!
