About

Hello, I’m Tom Kozacinski, and I’ve been working in the design and digital product development field for nearly two decades. It all actually started when I chewed up my first crayon in kindergarten, but I became a graphic designer after high school, and from there, I expanded my skills to include web design, HTML, CSS, and front-end development. I even had the opportunity to design and build mobile apps that have been used by tens of thousands of people worldwide.

Over the years, I’ve developed a passion for UX and digital product design, and it has been a privilege to work with many B2B startups, helping them secure funding and grow their businesses. I’m grateful for the recognition I’ve received over the years and for the chance to be part of the Toptal Network for over a decade.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my career has been the opportunity to travel the world, giving talks and workshops. It’s humbling to see how my knowledge and skills can inspire and educate designers and entrepreneurs alike. As a freelancer myself, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to grow your career, so I’ve made it my mission to help other freelancers through workshops and mentoring.

I also enjoy running workshops for companies, helping them implement effective communication and design strategies in their businesses.

In addition to my design work, I co-host a podcast called “Designer and Developer Having Coffee”, where my friend Mario Mucalo and I discuss topics related to the IT industry and sometimes topics adjacent over a cup of joe.

In my spare time, I also perform stand-up comedy. I’ve been fortunate to have almost 20 years of stage experience, which has helped me develop the ability to engage and entertain audiences. Tom KozacinskiMy involvement in the London startup scene has been a great way to give back to the community that has supported me throughout my career.

I’m honoured and grateful for the opportunities I’ve had and for the talented individuals I’ve met along the way. My focus has always been on continuous learning and personal growth, and I’m eager to see what the future holds.

If you are still reading, you should drop me a note; I have a sense I’ll like you! 🙂
