I was trying to learn more about computer vision using PyTorch in a very limited time to work on my academic project. He was able to explain concepts I needed, he also supported answering my questions in a timely-manner despite the time zone difference (13 hours), and he was able to support in this very limited time. He also generously joins video-conferencing (Zoom/ Google Meet) beyond the limit set by the plan I paid for. I'm grateful for his support.

So far so good. I've meet up with Alisher a few times but he is the real deal. He is about ensuring that you will have a strong foundation to build of off and is very flexible when it comes to your style of learning as he pivoted to helping me get my hands dirty with code. Communication maybe harder since he is based in Japan so there is a 13hr difference between EST. But someone with his knowledge is worth it.

He made sure to understand what my interview was going to cover by having a call with me and going over my interview materials.He is able to clearly explain answers to the questions he asked in DL/ML and specifics within that, that I was not able to answer.He is patient and honest - important qualities in a mentor.
