I’m a seasoned full stack engineer and software architect with 20+ years of experience developing innovative solutions in both corporate and startup environments. I’ve personally architected, deployed and maintained production NodeJS (mostly) services utilizing much of AWS, built out the CI/CD infrastructure and scaled out the team to build on it. I have a thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle, and throughout my career I’ve been a part of, worked closely with, or managed teams on the front-end, backend, QA, Ops and Security. I have extensive experience in reviewing resumes, phone screening, conducting onsite interviews and creating career paths for Engineers.

I came to James after starting a new job at a company, as a Senior Software Engineer role. The team I came onto was fairly new but the company was around for 20 years and I wanted guidance how to manage the complex web of relationships to help myself and this new team succeed. Throughout the months we worked together, he gave me actionable advice on how to work with my managers, teammates, and members of other teams to move projects forward - which is rare for me. I have worked with very few people that have seen the type of situations I've been as often as he has. Virtually every situation I was in, he had seen some flavor of it before and was able to share his experience and opinion. James is a great mentor and I highly recommend him to senior engineers to deliver successful products that require complex collaboration.
