Having a good resume on hand when going on the job hunt is crucial, and will make your search a lot easier. Even if you're not looking for a new position right now, having an up-to-date CV that sells your experience to future potential employers is always good to have.
In this session, a mentor with hiring experience will go over your CV and give you actionable points on how to improve it. You will be able to follow along and make these changes right away, hopefully leaving you with a top-notch CV at the end of the sessions.
As a hiring manager, I've been heavily involved in the recruiting -> hiring funnel at my company for engineering, product management, and engineering management roles.
Resume review is one of my regular tasks - both accepting inbound resumes for open job applications and finding candidates for outbound job searching. I am used to making quick decisions about candidates based on their resume, and can give you a candid perspective on my reaction/response to your resume - plus some tips on how to improve the resume.
Besides resume review, I've interviewed hundreds of candidates in both technical and behavioral interview settings. I've also conducted 50+ technical interviews on interviewing.io during my free time (I actually like interviewing). I've helped scale our hiring team and recruiting strategy to bring my org from 5 to 200+ engineers.
