About this Session

If you're looking for a mentor, and you're just not sure about how this all works – this one is for you. In a casual, informal introductory call, a mentor will introduce themselves, show you around the platform, explain how our mentorships work, and explain how they would set up a mentorship with you.

This session is perfect if you're looking for a long-term mentor, but you're just not sure how this can work – or if you already set eyes on a specific mentor, and want to get to know them beforehand.

Let's use this call to answer data science questions, career transition plans or general questions about data science in practice that I can help with. The best way I can help in an introductory call is to answer questions, establish/evaluate goals, guide you in the right direction and have an open conversation on what becoming a mentee would look like.

He is well worth it. His guidance helped. I landed a role using feedback from my first session. I was fortunate and landed it only after 3 months of our session, but I had already done much of the transition work prior. I finished another session on guidance on how to prep for my new role. Your mentor should take the time to really understand your scenario, review your documents, and answer your specific questions. Ian did just this.
